Tracey has spent a combined 18 years working as a Psychologist and 7 years as an endorsed Clinical Psychologist, gathering experience across a variety of settings. Her psychologist journey began in rural and remote parts of the Northern Territory, working in occupational rehabilitation and providing consultation services to the Australian Defence Force, Department of Veteran Affairs, and Employee Assistance Programs.

In 2010, Tracey began clinical training, which included working closely with Aboriginal communities through Aboriginal Medical Services. During this time, she focused on complex trauma presentations, including intergenerational trauma.

When she moved to Newcastle, NSW, in 2013 with her young family, Tracey continued clinical work, gaining further experience in complex trauma and helping clients across the lifespan. Her diverse professional background allows her to bring a rich understanding of both clinical knowledge and cultural sensitivities to her practice.

Tracey established Velvet Blue Psychology to provide a small, welcoming space for individuals seeking personalised therapy. Her goal is to empower you towards emotional wellness and self-healing, offering an inviting environment where every therapeutic encounter can lead to meaningful change. She firmly believes that by releasing stored trauma and limiting beliefs, we can connect more deeply with ourselves and those around us.

Tracey works collaboratively with her clients to discover their true potential, beyond labels or diagnoses. She combines evidence-based treatments with a strong therapeutic relationship, ensuring clients feel fully supported as they achieve their goals.
